In the fourth inning, the Turks added 2 more runs off a double by Travis Reifsnider (JMU). Aaron Levy (Ohio) and Immanuel Wilder (Western Carolina) scored.

Following this action, the Tom Sox reciprocated it in the bottom of the fourth. Dan Harwood (Wooster) hit a leadoff double and then Christian Hlinka (UVA) hit a 2-run single to make it 3-5.
